As my summary says, What are your influences and why did you choose them?
The Wanzers (Wanderung Panzers - walking tanks) from Front Mission 3. They're generally stylish designs, but still industrial looking, kind of like the mecha in Patlabor.
I scaled the size and weight on Battletech, though, figuring it was a good common ground.
Here's a nice image of the Zenislev, my favourite mech from the game and a good fit for the Golem:
mine are BattleTech - Crimson Hawk's a genuine-mech, though the internet contains little-to-no information on it.
The others, when they turn up are as well - P-EF own a Rifleman style Mecha.
My Armours (which you've yet to see yet), are Starcraft influenced - I love the rediculous size of it (especially as they're policing Dismeyworld…)
Nah, Marines. There'll be illustrations up at some point
Another Battletech influence here, though with elements of the Scoot Vehicles from Phantom Crash/SLAI and the Arm Slaves from Full Metal Panic.
I chose Battletech because it's the mecha game I know best, and it's a good base. SV's were chosen for the manuverability I wanted, as well as the jump jets (though I was kind enough to remove the OC :P) and Arm Slaves for the slightly sloping front torso that I felt worked a little better for stability than the more humanoid Battlemechs.
My mech looks like the Blitz Gundam from Gundam Seed. Just it's weapon is a Covenant Beam Rifle from Halo. I would post the Blitz, but it has too many weapons that the Baltanders doesn't.
With their stupid, stupid little arms.
"Blast, we forgot to put the big guns on. I know, let's just stick them on the sides with bendy straws. It'll look fine."
