Presumably, the increase to TN, reflects the fact that you're trying to hit them where they haven't got armour. Which is more difficult. Reducing damage by the armour's TN bonus, suggests you're just trying to hit Through the armour.

In theory, both would be an option, what if the attacker chose which penalty to take? Is there one that's universally easier (thus making the choice moot), should Full Defence let the defender chose?

Not sure if we're keeping track of this on the main page or not.

I won't be able to make the Second or the Sixteenth of October.

Guys,
Unless anyone has Maaaajor complaints, I'm going to be statting havens.
There's plenty of different Haven stat-systems out there. Unless there's a vampire-specific one that's good, I'd likely use a variant of the nWoD Werewolf one (it's close to hand, and I know it). You'll be able to invest Background points into a Haven background (there'd be a seperate pool for each haven) and spend these points on bonuses (including difficulty reduction for rolls, a reliable blood supply and increased camoflage).

I'll give each territory a starting amount of points (2-6), so you could do something like:

Alex's Apartment (3 points): -1 Computer Use (due to the interwebs, and a variety of Simon's reference books and tech)

Meat Packing Plant (2 points): 1 blood per day (a potentially limitless Rat infestation)

Mansion Haven (5 points): -1 Academics (a passable library), -1 rituals (a dedicated area, free soundproofed and stocked with materials, may help exteded rolls)

You'd be able to improve these by spending xp. Enough xp, however, and it may develop Flaws (while Alex's Apartment gives great computer use and repair rolls, due to the amount of tech there, the constant noise and distractions means rituals and extended rolls are at +1 difficulty).

It gives another reason for multiple havens, and gives me GM-material (because atm, you lose a haven, it's irritating, but not the end of the world, but the risk of losing a haven you've sun a crapton of XP into is a much bigger risk ;)

There's also potential Skillcheck systems: at say 6 points, anyone entering the area has to pass a skillcheck, or take some kind of penalty (representing traps, electronic locks, guards etc).

It'd likely be 1 point per 2xp.

How many points do people have in Resources?

Just so I've an idea of how much money (or legally owned property, that you could sell) you have available…

The Irritating thing is that's hella specific and awesome, which means I don't want to just revert ;)

That's fair enough. Just checking as I wasn't sure.

I think it's because of all the sessions we missed during February and so on, isn't it?

Is there a reason we've a session lined up for this Saturday?

We made the session last Friday, and the next lined up session (the 4th) no-one seems to have an issue with - the week after looks to be a problem, but if we're playing an extra session to compensate for then, it'd make more sense to do it close to the time (as that's Mid-april - just under a month away) - I know we were discussing it, but (iirc) that was for the Monomancy, which we ran last Saturday instead.

(Not that I'm neccisarily complaining -I just genuinely don't remember)

(Also: In case people didn't notice - when you edit this page, please include a mention of what you've changed in the Description part - it's not always easy to tell what's been altered, and this is a page where the small changes can alter people's plans entirely)

Touch it and I stab you both. And the vampire pages too.

Ah man, I was totally going to graffitti the hell out of this page if you hadn't already posted something…

by John_McFlossJohn_McFloss, 11 Feb 2009 12:08

Unlikely. It's a horrific amount of work on my account, unless it's automated, and I've neither the time nor the skill for either options…

Alternately, I'm happy to simply forward all my info along to someone, if they want to run (you poor fool)

Any chance of this starting up again? It's been six months! Iocom demands satisfaction.

Sorry Rootub had decided to move back to Tzimisce but has changed back to Toreador.

Re: Thorns and Ada by IocomIocom, 18 Mar 2008 14:18

I thought they'd gone Toreador?
